We started with our artistic intervention - A satirical video about the dystopian future of the NHS if left unchecked. The video was toured around the country to 65 locations via an LED truck in April 2025 to mark the 65th anniversary of NHS founder Nye Bevan's death.
The future of the NHS was on trial, specifically as it related to the issues raised from the Lord Darzi report findings, which we based our project cycle on.
The artistic intervention culminated in a citizens jury where we distilled the issues from the Lord Darzi Report, via public discourse on the tour into a set of deliberation topics for a citizen's jury to discuss and decide upon recommendations.
We delivered our findings to the NHS change programme, set up by the Department of Health to gage public opinion and help to shape the 10 year strategic plan they are proposing. In addition we submitted directly to the Department of Health and the health minister Wes Streeting. In addition to the results will be archived at The British Library for historical reference.
This project acted as a proof of concept for our art fronted participatory model. Moving forward all future projects will have a tangible art piece as part of the intervention to sell and create a financially sustainable model for tackling critical issues in this format.
With this the cycle of the project is complete. We will always continue to support and advocate for the future of the NHS and continue to update our website as and when the results of the NHS change initiative become clear.
